BATADRAVA THAN MEMBERS.

NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court vide Order dated 11/08/2025 in WP(C) No. 4271/2025, Sri Sri Batadrava Than Parichalana Samitee vs. The State of Assam & Ors., has directed the District Commissioner, Nagaon to take all necessary steps for the expeditious convening of the General Meeting and Election of the Sri Sri Batadrava Than Parichalana Samitee in strict accordance with law and the existing constitution of the Samitee;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to ensure the seamless continuation of essential religious and cultural activities at the Sri Sri Batadrava Than during the month of Bhado;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred and in compliance with the aforesaid order of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court, the District Administration, Nagaon hereby constitutes an Interim Committee comprising the following members for facilitating the conduct of the General Meeting of the Sri Sri Batadrava Than after the Pabitra Bhado Mah:

The Interim Committee shall function for the purpose of facilitating the conduct of the General Meeting and Election and shall take all necessary steps to ensure completion of the constitution of a new Parichalana Samitee in strict compliance with legal provisions and by following the laid down rules and procedures of the existing constitution of the Sri Sri Batadrava Than under the supervision of the District Administration, Nagaon.

FURTHER, a Sub-Committee is hereby constituted with the following members for ensuring the continuation of essential religious and cultural activities in the Than during the month of Bhado.

This shall be a temporary Sub-Committee to aid and assist during all “Bhado Mah” celebrations till the formation of the new committee in adherence to the existing constitution of the Sri Sri Batadrava Than.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
